Bran Raisin Spice Cookies
Ingredients
- 1 cup seedless raisins
- 1/3 cup butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon milk
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup flour
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 cup graham flour
- 1/2 cup bran
Method
- 1 Soak raisins overnight, then drain and dry on a cloth.
- 2 Cream butter, then beat in brown sugar, milk, and beaten eggs.
- 3 Add raisins, flour, nutmeg, cinnamon, and baking powder; mix thoroughly.
- 4 Stir in graham flour and bran.
- 5 Drop by spoonfuls onto a baking sheet.
- 6 Bake in a moderate oven (350°F) until set.
