Bran Molasses Gem Muffins
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup bran
- 2 tablespoons Crisco
- 1 tablespoon whole wheat flour
- 1/2 cup white flour
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1 egg
- 2 tablespoons molasses
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
Method
- 1 Mix Crisco and molasses together.
- 2 Add well-beaten egg, milk, salt, bran, flours, and baking powder; mix thoroughly.
- 3 Divide batter into well-greased gem pans.
- 4 Bake in a hot oven (425°F) for 8 to 10 minutes.
