Braised Beef With Shallots And Carrots
Ingredients
- Beef rump-steak or fillet
- Butter
- Boiling water
- 6-8 chopped shallots
- Hearts of 2 celery stalks, chopped
- Small whole carrots
- Pepper
- Salt
- 2 cloves
- Flour
Method
- 1 Brown the beef in butter in a pan.
- 2 Add boiling water, chopped shallots, chopped celery hearts, whole carrots, pepper, salt, and cloves.
- 3 Simmer until tender, then bind the sauce with flour and pour over the meat before serving.
