Boiled Turnip Tops
Ingredients
- Turnip tops (shoots from old turnip roots)
- Cold water for soaking
- Plenty of water for boiling
- 1 small handful of salt
Method
- 1 Place turnip tops in cold water for one hour before cooking.
- 2 Bring a large pot of water to a boil and add a small handful of salt.
- 3 Add the turnip tops and boil for about 20 minutes until tender.
- 4 Drain the vegetables on the back of a sieve.
