Boiled Turnip Tops

Ingredients

  • Turnip tops (shoots from old turnip roots)
  • Cold water for soaking
  • Plenty of water for boiling
  • 1 small handful of salt

Method

  1. 1 Place turnip tops in cold water for one hour before cooking.
  2. 2 Bring a large pot of water to a boil and add a small handful of salt.
  3. 3 Add the turnip tops and boil for about 20 minutes until tender.
  4. 4 Drain the vegetables on the back of a sieve.
