Boiled Sweet Corn On The Cob
Ingredients
- Corn on the cob, husks left on
- 1 tsp sugar
- Water for boiling
Method
- 1 Select full ears of corn. Remove outer husks but leave the inner layer intact. Fold back the inner husk to remove silk, then refold the husk over the corn.
- 2 Bring a large kettle of water to a boil. Add 1 teaspoon of sugar per pot.
- 3 Add the corn to the boiling water. Cover the pot closely and boil for 12 minutes for small ears or 15-18 minutes for large ears.
