Boiled Salted Cabbage
Ingredients
- 1 head cabbage
- 1 large spoonful salt
- plenty of boiling water
Method
- 1 Clean and wash the cabbage thoroughly. Quarter it if the head is very large.
- 2 Place the cabbage in a saucepan with plenty of boiling water. Skim off any scum that rises.
- 3 Add a large spoonful of salt. Boil until the stalks feel tender, keeping the cabbage submerged.
