Boiled Maple Cream Fudge
Ingredients
- 1 3/4 cup sugar
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1/3 cup maple syrup
- 1 egg-sized pat of butter
- Shredded coconut or chopped nuts (optional)
Method
- 1 Combine sugar, milk, maple syrup, and butter in an enameled saucepan.
- 2 Boil the mixture for about 10 minutes.
- 3 Beat the mixture until it becomes almost stiff.
- 4 Pour into a buttered platter and mark into squares while warm.
