Boiled Maple Cream Fudge

Ingredients

  • 1 3/4 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1/3 cup maple syrup
  • 1 egg-sized pat of butter
  • Shredded coconut or chopped nuts (optional)

Method

  1. 1 Combine sugar, milk, maple syrup, and butter in an enameled saucepan.
  2. 2 Boil the mixture for about 10 minutes.
  3. 3 Beat the mixture until it becomes almost stiff.
  4. 4 Pour into a buttered platter and mark into squares while warm.
