Boiled Lobster

Ingredients

  • 1 lobster
  • Water (enough to cover lobster)
  • 1 tablespoon salt

Method

  1. 1 Fill a kettle with enough water to cover the lobster. Heat until warm but not boiling.
  2. 2 Hold the lobster by the back and place it head-first into the warm water to humanely kill it.
  3. 3 Cover the pot and bring to a boil. Add 1 tablespoon of salt.
  4. 4 Boil for exactly 30 minutes. Do not overcook or the meat will become tough and stringy.
