Boiled Hominy With Milk And Butter

Ingredients

  • 1 cup small hominy
  • Water for soaking and boiling
  • Milk or butter (optional, for serving)

Method

  1. 1 Wash the hominy and soak it overnight in water. If short on time, boil it early in the morning.
  2. 2 Place the hominy in a clean vessel and cover with fresh water. Bring to a boil and simmer until tender, about one hour for small hominy.
  3. 3 Drain the hominy. Serve hot with milk and butter, or fry for dinner.
