Boiled Green Peas With Butter And Mint
Ingredients
- Young green peas
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 slice fresh butter
- Small bunch mint (optional)
Method
- 1 Shell the peas and wash them thoroughly.
- 2 Drain the peas in a colander.
- 3 Place peas in plenty of boiling water with salt.
- 4 Boil until tender, about 30 minutes for young peas.
- 5 Drain the peas and place in a serving dish.
- 6 Add a slice of fresh butter to the dish.
- 7 Optionally, boil a small bunch of mint with the peas, mince it finely, and serve in small heaps on the side.
