Boiled Green Peas With Butter And Mint

Ingredients

  • Young green peas
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 slice fresh butter
  • Small bunch mint (optional)

Method

  1. 1 Shell the peas and wash them thoroughly.
  2. 2 Drain the peas in a colander.
  3. 3 Place peas in plenty of boiling water with salt.
  4. 4 Boil until tender, about 30 minutes for young peas.
  5. 5 Drain the peas and place in a serving dish.
  6. 6 Add a slice of fresh butter to the dish.
  7. 7 Optionally, boil a small bunch of mint with the peas, mince it finely, and serve in small heaps on the side.
