Boiled Ginger Prune Pudding
Ingredients
- 1 lb flour
- 1 qt milk
- 6 eggs
- Salt to taste
- 1 tsp ground ginger
- 1 lb prunes
- Melted butter for serving
Method
- 1 Mix flour and milk in a large bowl. Add eggs, salt, and ginger.
- 2 Beat the mixture vigorously until it forms a fine, stiff batter.
- 3 Fold in the prunes until evenly distributed throughout the batter.
- 4 Place the batter in a pudding cloth and tie securely.
- 5 Boil the pudding in water for 1 hour and 30 minutes.
- 6 Serve hot, pouring melted butter over the top.
