Boiled Cranberry Sauce
Ingredients
- 1 quart cranberries
- 2 cups sugar
- 1½ cups water
- pinch of baking soda
Method
- 1 Wash the cranberries and make a small slit in each berry.
- 2 In a kettle, combine the water, cranberries, sugar, and a pinch of baking soda.
- 3 Cover the kettle closely and bring to a boil. Do not stir or lift the lid.
- 4 Once boiling, cook for exactly five minutes, then remove from heat and let cool completely covered.
