Boiled Chocolate Fudge
Ingredients
- 4 cups white sugar
- 2 cups milk
- 1 pound butter
- 1 cup grated chocolate
- Vanilla to taste
- Nuts (optional)
Method
- 1 Combine sugar, milk, butter, and chocolate in a heavy saucepan.
- 2 Boil the mixture while beating thoroughly until it reaches the soft-ball stage.
- 3 Remove from heat and stir in vanilla and nuts if using.
- 4 Pour onto buttered plates or a greased pan and let cool.
- 5 Cut into squares once set.
