Boiled Cabbage
Ingredients
- 1 head cabbage
- Plenty of boiling water
- 1 large spoonful salt
Method
- 1 Clean and wash the cabbage thoroughly. Quarter it if it is very large.
- 2 Place the cabbage in a saucepan with plenty of boiling water. Skim off any foam that rises.
- 3 Add a large spoonful of salt. Ensure the cabbage is fully submerged and boil until the stalks are tender.
- 4 Boil for 20-30 minutes for young cabbages or nearly an hour for full-grown ones. Serve.
