Boiled Buttered Carrots

Ingredients

  • 3 cups diced carrots
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • dash of pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt (for cooking water)

Method

  1. 1 Wash, scrape, and dice carrots into half-inch pieces.
  2. 2 Boil carrots in salted water (1 tsp salt per quart) until tender, then drain.
  3. 3 Add butter, salt, and pepper; heat until butter melts and serve.
