Boiled Broccoli On Toast

Ingredients

  • 1 head broccoli
  • Salt
  • Toast (optional, for serving)

Method

  1. 1 Strip off side shoots, leaving the top. Peel the stalk skin and cut the bottom close.
  2. 2 Place broccoli in a pan of cold water while you prepare a large saucepan of salted boiling water.
  3. 3 Add broccoli to the boiling water. Boil briskly for 10-20 minutes until stalks are tender.
  4. 4 Remove carefully with a slotted spoon to avoid breaking. Drain well.
  5. 5 Serve immediately hot, optionally placed on toast.
