Boiled Broccoli On Toast
Ingredients
- 1 head broccoli
- Salt
- Toast (optional, for serving)
Method
- 1 Strip off side shoots, leaving the top. Peel the stalk skin and cut the bottom close.
- 2 Place broccoli in a pan of cold water while you prepare a large saucepan of salted boiling water.
- 3 Add broccoli to the boiling water. Boil briskly for 10-20 minutes until stalks are tender.
- 4 Remove carefully with a slotted spoon to avoid breaking. Drain well.
- 5 Serve immediately hot, optionally placed on toast.
