Boiled Bread And Jam Pudding
Ingredients
- slices of Allinson bread
- raspberry jam
- 1 tablespoon cornflour
- 1 pint milk
Method
- 1 Grease a pudding basin and fill it with slices of bread spread thickly with raspberry jam.
- 2 Dissolve 1 tablespoon of cornflour in 1 pint of well-beaten milk.
- 3 Bring the milk mixture to a boil, then pour it over the bread and jam.
- 4 Let the mixture stand for 1 hour.
- 5 Boil the pudding for 1 hour while covered with a pudding cloth.
- 6 Turn out of the basin and serve hot or cold.
