Boiled Beets With Vinegar And Butter
Ingredients
- small smooth beets
- stock (optional)
- melted butter
- salt
- pepper
- vinegar
- chopped onion (optional)
- chopped parsley (optional)
Method
- 1 Select small smooth beets and clean them without cutting or scraping.
- 2 Boil the beets for 1 to 2 hours until tender, then cool them.
- 3 Remove the skins and cut the beets into slices or quarters.
- 4 Serve hot or cold, or reheat in stock and melted butter.
- 5 Season with salt, pepper, and vinegar, adding chopped onion and parsley if desired.
