Boiled Beets With Butter
Ingredients

- melted butter
- salt
- pepper
Method
- 1 Wash beets carefully without breaking the skin or cutting off the roots. Soak winter beets overnight if desired.
- 2 Place beets in boiling water and cook for 1.5 to 3 hours until tender when tested with a wooden skewer.
- 3 Peel, slice, or dice the beets. Serve warm with melted butter, salt, and pepper.
