Boiled Bananas In Coconut Syrup
Ingredients
- 6 bananas
- 1 cup sugar
- ½ cup fresh coconut
- ½ cup water
- salt
Method
- 1 Place bananas in a pot with skins on. Cover with boiling water and add a pinch of salt.
- 2 Boil until skins crack, then remove and let cool.
- 3 Peel the bananas, split them, and lightly scrape the flesh.
- 4 Combine sugar, coconut, and water in a saucepan to make a syrup.
- 5 Pour the hot syrup over the prepared bananas and serve.
