Boiled Asparagus On Toast Rounds
Ingredients
- Asparagus stalks
- Salt
- Toast rounds
- Melted butter
Method
- 1 Scrape the white parts of the asparagus stalks clean and place them in cold water.
- 2 Tie the stalks into bundles and trim them to the same length.
- 3 Place bundles in a saucepan, cover with boiling water, add salt, and boil gently for 20-30 minutes until tender.
- 4 Remove asparagus and arrange on toast rounds with points facing the center.
- 5 Serve immediately with melted butter in a tureen.
