Boiled Artichokes With Melted Butter

Ingredients

  • artichokes
  • cold water
  • salt
  • melted butter

Method

  1. 1 Soak artichokes in cold water and wash them well.
  2. 2 Place in plenty of boiling water with a handful of salt.
  3. 3 Boil gently for 1.5 to 2 hours until tender. Check by pulling out a leaf.
  4. 4 Trim and drain artichokes on a sieve.
  5. 5 Serve with melted butter in small cups for dipping.
