Black Walnut Pecan Pie
Ingredients
- 2 pie crusts
- 4 eggs
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 3 tablespoons flour
- 1 1/2 cups water
- 1 1/4 cups dark corn syrup
- 1 cup black walnuts, chopped
Method
- 1 Preheat oven to 425°F. Line two pie plates with crusts and sprinkle chopped walnuts evenly over the bottom.
- 2 In a bowl, beat eggs well. Gradually add sugar, then fold in flour, corn syrup, and water until smooth.
- 3 Pour filling over walnuts in crusts. Bake at 425°F for 3 minutes, then reduce heat to 350°F and bake for 30-40 minutes until set.
