Beef Rib Hot Pot With Peppers And Raisins

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds beef ribs
  • 1 tablespoon drippings or butter
  • 2 chopped onions
  • 1 chopped clove garlic
  • 6 seeded and shredded green peppers
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 pinch thyme
  • 1 tablespoon vinegar
  • 12 raisins
  • 12 olives
  • 1 can tomatoes
  • Flour for thickening
  • Butter for browning flour
  • Buttered toast for serving

Method

  1. 1 Place beef ribs in a saucepan with drippings or butter. Add onions, garlic, green peppers, salt, pepper, thyme, vinegar, raisins, olives, and tomatoes.
  2. 2 Cover and cook until the meat falls from the bones.
  3. 3 Remove the bones. Thicken the sauce by stirring in flour browned in butter.
