Beef Fat Yorkshire Pudding
Ingredients
- 6 tablespoons beef fat
- 1 ¼ cups milk
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon white pepper
- 1 teaspoon grated onion
- 2 cups sifted flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- ½ cup beef gravy
Method
- 1 Pour beef fat into a baking pan and grease thoroughly. Heat the pan until the fat is hot.
- 2 In a bowl, combine milk, egg, salt, pepper, onion, flour, and baking powder. Beat for five minutes until smooth.
- 3 Pour the batter into the hot pan and bake in a 350°F oven for 20 minutes.
- 4 Near the end of baking, baste the pudding with beef gravy before serving.
