Beef Bourguignon With Mushrooms

Ingredients

  • 3 lbs beef
  • 20 small onions
  • 10 mushrooms
  • 2 glasses red wine
  • salt and pepper
  • thyme
  • bay leaf
  • 2 tbsp demi-glace

Method

  1. 1 Braise beef with onions, mushrooms, wine, salt, pepper, thyme, and bay leaf over low heat for 1.5 hours.
  2. 2 Transfer beef to a serving dish and keep warm.
  3. 3 Stir demi-glace into the cooking vegetables and bring to a boil.
  4. 4 Slice the beef and strain the sauce over the top.
