Beef Bourguignon With Mushrooms
Ingredients
- 3 lbs beef
- 20 small onions
- 10 mushrooms
- 2 glasses red wine
- salt and pepper
- thyme
- bay leaf
- 2 tbsp demi-glace
Method
- 1 Braise beef with onions, mushrooms, wine, salt, pepper, thyme, and bay leaf over low heat for 1.5 hours.
- 2 Transfer beef to a serving dish and keep warm.
- 3 Stir demi-glace into the cooking vegetables and bring to a boil.
- 4 Slice the beef and strain the sauce over the top.
