Beaten Biscuits
Ingredients
- 1 quart flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- ¼ tsp salt
- 1 large heaping tbsp butter
- milk as needed
Method
- 1 Sift the flour, baking powder, and salt together into a large bowl.
- 2 Cut in the butter and add enough milk to form a stiff dough.
- 3 Beat the dough vigorously with a rolling pin or biscuit beater for 10-15 minutes until it blisters.
- 4 Roll the dough out to about half an inch thick.
- 5 Prick the dough well with a fork.
- 6 Bake in a quick oven (425°F) until golden brown.
