Basic Yeast Bread Loaves
Ingredients
- 40 lbs flour
- 1 handful salt
- 1 quart yeast
- 3 quarts water
Method
- 1 Stir flour, salt, yeast, and water together in a large bowl or trough.
- 2 Strew a little flour over the top, cover, and let stand for one hour.
- 3 Knead the dough thoroughly.
- 4 Shape into loaves and let rise for a quarter of an hour.
- 5 Bake in a moderate oven (350°F) until done.
