Basic Pounded Almond Macaroons
Ingredients
- 8 oz blanched almonds, pounded
- 8 oz granulated sugar
- 2 egg whites
Method
- 1 Preheat oven to 300°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- 2 Beat egg whites in a bowl until frothy.
- 3 Mix in the sugar and pounded almonds until well combined.
- 4 Drop spoonfuls of the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet.
- 5 Bake for 15-20 minutes until lightly golden. Cool completely.
