Barley Wheat Yeast Bread

Ingredients

  • 1 cup milk and water
  • 2 tablespoons corn syrup
  • 1 tablespoon fat
  • 1 1/4 teaspoons salt
  • 1 2/3 cups barley flour
  • 2 1/3 cups wheat flour
  • 1 cake compressed yeast

Method

  1. 1 Soften the yeast in 1/2 cup lukewarm liquid.
  2. 2 Combine all ingredients and mix into a dough.
  3. 3 Knead the dough and let it rise until double in bulk.
  4. 4 Knead again, place in a pan, and let rise until double in bulk.
  5. 5 Bake for 45 minutes.
