Barley Wheat Yeast Bread
Ingredients
- 1 cup milk and water
- 2 tablespoons corn syrup
- 1 tablespoon fat
- 1 1/4 teaspoons salt
- 1 2/3 cups barley flour
- 2 1/3 cups wheat flour
- 1 cake compressed yeast
Method
- 1 Soften the yeast in 1/2 cup lukewarm liquid.
- 2 Combine all ingredients and mix into a dough.
- 3 Knead the dough and let it rise until double in bulk.
- 4 Knead again, place in a pan, and let rise until double in bulk.
- 5 Bake for 45 minutes.
