Banana Cake With Jelly Sauce
Ingredients
- 1 cup flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ¾ cup milk
- 1 egg
- 4 bananas
- 1 cup water
- 2 tablespoons jelly
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch
Method
- 1 Sift flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt into a bowl.
- 2 Add milk and beaten eggs; mix well.
- 3 Peel and slice bananas in half lengthwise, then across.
- 4 Pour batter into a greased shallow pan and place bananas on top.
- 5 Sprinkle with sugar and bake in a 350°F oven for 15 minutes.
- 6 For sauce, boil water, jelly, and sugar; stir in cornstarch mixed with cold water and boil 3 minutes.
