Ingredients

  • 4 cups flour
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tsp butter
  • 1 cake compressed yeast
  • 2 cups milk

Method

  1. 1 Beat egg yolks until very light.
  2. 2 Dissolve yeast in milk, then stir in butter, flour, and milk mixture.
  3. 3 Beat egg whites to a stiff froth and fold into batter last.
  4. 4 Let batter rise until light.
  5. 5 Pour into well-buttered muffin tins and bake.
