Baked Yeast Cake

Ingredients

  • 1 cup milk
  • 3 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs, well-beaten
  • ½ yeast cake
  • 3 tablespoons cold water
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons sugar

Method

  1. 1 Heat milk until blood warm. Add melted butter, beaten eggs, and yeast dissolved in cold water.
  2. 2 Gradually pour mixture into flour, beating into a smooth batter. Stir in salt and sugar.
  3. 3 Butter baking pans and pour batter in halfway. Let rise for 2 hours in a warm place.
  4. 4 Bake in a moderate oven (350°F) for 30 minutes until golden brown.
