Baked Yeast Cake
Ingredients
- 1 cup milk
- 3 tablespoons butter, melted
- 2 large eggs, well-beaten
- ½ yeast cake
- 3 tablespoons cold water
- 2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons sugar
Method
- 1 Heat milk until blood warm. Add melted butter, beaten eggs, and yeast dissolved in cold water.
- 2 Gradually pour mixture into flour, beating into a smooth batter. Stir in salt and sugar.
- 3 Butter baking pans and pour batter in halfway. Let rise for 2 hours in a warm place.
- 4 Bake in a moderate oven (350°F) for 30 minutes until golden brown.
