Baked Wholemeal Apple Pudding

Ingredients

  • 6 baking apples
  • 2 oz sugar
  • 1 heaped tsp ground cinnamon
  • 3/4 pint milk
  • 3 eggs
  • 6 oz wholemeal flour
  • 1 oz butter

Method

  1. 1 Core the apples and fill the holes with a mixture of sugar and cinnamon.
  2. 2 Place the stuffed apples into a buttered pie dish.
  3. 3 Whisk together the milk, eggs, and wholemeal flour to form a batter.
  4. 4 Melt the butter and stir it into the batter until combined.
  5. 5 Pour the batter over the apples and bake in a moderate oven (350°F) for 2 hours.
