Baked Wheatmeal Custard Pudding

Ingredients

  • 4 oz Allinson fine wheatmeal
  • 1/2 pint milk
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 tsp powdered cinnamon
  • sugar to taste

Method

  1. 1 Mix the milk and wheatmeal until perfectly smooth.
  2. 2 Add well-beaten eggs, sugar, and cinnamon; stir to combine.
  3. 3 Butter individual cups and fill them three-quarters full with the mixture.
  4. 4 Bake in a moderate oven (350°F) until a knitting needle inserted comes out clean.
  5. 5 Serve warm with custard or milk sauce.
