Baked Walleye Fish Cakes
Ingredients
- 1/2 pound walleye fillets, minced
- 1/2 cup onion, minced
- 1/2 cup celery, minced
- 2 tablespoons low-fat mayonnaise
- 1 cup crushed unsalted crackers
- 1 egg
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon dried dill
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- Cooking spray
Method
- 1 Preheat oven to 375°F. Place minced fish in a colander and press firmly to remove excess moisture.
- 2 In a medium bowl, mix fish, onion, celery, mayonnaise, crackers, egg, garlic powder, dill, paprika, and salt. Let rest for 10 minutes.
- 3 Shape mixture into 8 patties. Spray a baking sheet with cooking spray and place patties 1 inch apart.
- 4 Bake for 10-15 minutes, flip, and bake for another 10 minutes. Serve warm.
