Baked Turkey And Sausage Casserole
Ingredients
- butter for greasing
- cold minced turkey
- cooked minced cold sausage meat
- gravy or weak stock
- bread crumbs
- pepper
- salt
- cream or milk
- 1 egg
- 1 tbsp butter, melted
Method
- 1 Butter a pudding dish. Layer cold minced turkey and cooked cold sausage meat inside, seasoning slightly as you go.
- 2 Pour in enough gravy or weak stock to fill the dish. Let it soak in for a few minutes.
- 3 Mix bread crumbs with pepper, salt, cream (or milk), 1 egg, and 1 tbsp melted butter until smooth.
- 4 Spread the breadcrumb mixture over the meat to a thickness of half an inch.
- 5 Cover and bake for 30 minutes. Uncover and brown the top. Serve immediately.
