Baked Tomato Gratin

Ingredients

  • 1 lb tomatoes
  • 1 pint bread crumbs
  • 2 oz butter
  • Pepper and salt to taste

Method

  1. 1 Slice tomatoes and layer them in a pie dish.
  2. 2 Cover with bread crumbs, pepper, salt, and small pieces of butter.
  3. 3 Repeat layers until ingredients are used, ending with a top layer of crumbs.
  4. 4 Bake in a quick oven (400°F) for 20 minutes.
