Baked Tomato And Brown Bread Casserole
Ingredients
- 1 tin tomatoes
- 1 handful brown bread, crumbled
- Butter, for greasing dish and lumps
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Grated cheese, for sprinkling
Method
- 1 Butter a fireproof china pie dish.
- 2 Open the tin of tomatoes and remove skins if necessary.
- 3 Layer ingredients in the dish: crumbled brown bread, lumps of butter, tomatoes, salt, pepper, more bread, and finish with butter and grated cheese.
- 4 Bake for 20 minutes.
