Baked Tart Apples With Sugar Syrup

Ingredients

• tart apples
• sugar
• water

Method

1. 1 Pare and core the tart apples without breaking them.
2. 2 Place apples in a shallow earthen dish and fill the cavities with sugar.
3. 3 Add water to cover the bottom of the dish.
4. 4 Bake in a quick oven (425°F) until soft, basting often with the syrup.
