Baked Stuffed Spanish Onions With Meat
Ingredients

- minced chicken or meat
- soft bread crumbs
- salt
- pepper
- melted butter
Method
- 1 Peel onions, scoop out the center, parboil for 5 minutes, and drain upside down.
- 2 Mix minced chicken or meat with soft bread crumbs, finely chopped onion center, salt, pepper, and melted butter.
- 3 Fill onions heaping with mixture, sprinkle tops with crumbs, place in a pan with an inch of water.
- 4 Cover and bake in a moderate oven (350°F) for 1 hour until tender but holding shape.
- 5 Remove cover for the last 5 minutes to lightly brown the tops.
