Baked Stuffed Morel Mushrooms

Ingredients

  • Morel mushrooms
  • Chicken, veal, or other meat, chopped fine
  • Seasonings
  • Slices of bread
  • Butter
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Method

  1. 1 Wash the morels well. Open the stems to admit the forcemeat made of chopped meat and seasonings, then press the stems together again.
  2. 2 Lay the stuffed mushrooms on slices of bread. Bake in a moderate oven (350°F) for ten minutes or until tender, basting with butter and sprinkling with salt and pepper while cooking.
