Baked Stuffed Morel Mushrooms
Ingredients
- Morel mushrooms
- Chicken, veal, or other meat, chopped fine
- Seasonings
- Slices of bread
- Butter
- Salt
- Pepper
Method
- 1 Wash the morels well. Open the stems to admit the forcemeat made of chopped meat and seasonings, then press the stems together again.
- 2 Lay the stuffed mushrooms on slices of bread. Bake in a moderate oven (350°F) for ten minutes or until tender, basting with butter and sprinkling with salt and pepper while cooking.
