Baked Stuffed Green Peppers With Shrimp
Ingredients
- 6 green peppers
- 1 tbsp butter
- ½ tsp mixed mustard
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Celery salt to taste
- Grated nutmeg to taste
- 1 egg, well-beaten
- 2 cups shelled and broken shrimps
- Grated bread crumbs, as needed
- Butter, for dotting
Method
- 1 Cut stem ends off peppers; remove seeds and veins. Soak in cold water for 30 minutes, then drain.
- 2 Melt 1 tbsp butter. Stir in mustard, salt, pepper, celery salt, and nutmeg. Mix in beaten egg.
- 3 Add shrimps and enough bread crumbs to form a smooth paste. Fill peppers with mixture.
- 4 Place peppers open-side up in a baking pan. Cover tops with crumbs and dot with butter.
- 5 Bake at 350°F for 20 minutes until peppers are tender and topping is golden.
