Baked Squash And Apples With Cinnamon
Ingredients
- 2 1/2 cups winter squash (acorn, butternut, or Hubbard), sliced
- 1 1/2 cups apples (Macintosh, Granny Smith, or Rome), sliced
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
Method
- 1 Preheat oven to 350°F. Wash and slice the winter squash and apples.
- 2 Alternate layers of squash and apples in an 8x8-inch baking pan, ending with apples.
- 3 Sprinkle nutmeg and cinnamon over the top layer.
- 4 Cover with foil and bake for 45 to 60 minutes until squash is tender.
