Baked Spinach Cheese Custard
Ingredients
- 1 lb fat and well-relished cheese
- 1 lb cheese curds
- Sugar to taste
- 1 pint spinach juice
- 1 pint cream
- 10 eggs
- Cinnamon
- Pepper
- Nutmeg
- Cloves
Method
- 1 Stamp the cheese, cheese curds, and sugar together in a mortar until well combined.
- 2 Add the spinach juice, cream, eggs, cinnamon, pepper, nutmeg, and cloves to the mixture.
- 3 Mix thoroughly until smooth.
- 4 Pour the mixture into a baking dish without a cover.
- 5 Bake in a moderate oven (350°F) until set.
