  • 1 lb fat and well-relished cheese
  • 1 lb cheese curds
  • Sugar to taste
  • 1 pint spinach juice
  • 1 pint cream
  • 10 eggs
  • Cinnamon
  • Pepper
  • Nutmeg
  • Cloves

Method

  1. 1 Stamp the cheese, cheese curds, and sugar together in a mortar until well combined.
  2. 2 Add the spinach juice, cream, eggs, cinnamon, pepper, nutmeg, and cloves to the mixture.
  3. 3 Mix thoroughly until smooth.
  4. 4 Pour the mixture into a baking dish without a cover.
  5. 5 Bake in a moderate oven (350°F) until set.
