Baked Soft Pretzels

Ingredients

  • 1/2 teaspoon dry yeast
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 1 1/3 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Method

  1. 1 Preheat oven to 425°F.
  2. 2 In a small bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water, add honey, and let sit for a few minutes.
  3. 3 In a large bowl, combine flour and salt.
  4. 4 Add yeast mixture to flour and stir until a smooth ball forms, adding a little more flour if sticky.
  5. 5 Knead dough on a surface until smooth, adding flour if needed.
  6. 6 Divide dough into 12 pieces. Roll each into a snake and twist into pretzel or other shapes.
  7. 7 Place on a sprayed baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes until golden brown.
