Baked Scallops With Mushroom Cream Sauce
Ingredients
- Scallops (quantity desired)
- 2 tablespoonfuls butter
- 1 tablespoonful chopped onion
- 1/2 cupful chopped mushrooms
- 2 tablespoonfuls flour
- 1 cupful milk
- Buttered bread crumbs
Method
- 1 Clean scallops, parboil for 15 minutes, drain, and cut into small pieces.
- 2 Melt butter in a frying pan, sauté onion, and add mushrooms. Brown the mixture.
- 3 Stir in flour and milk. Cook until thickened, then add the scallops.
- 4 Fill scallop shells with the mixture, sprinkle with buttered bread crumbs, and bake until brown.
