Baked Savory Semolina And Cheese Casserole
Ingredients
- 3 tablespoons semolina
- 1 pint water
- 2 eggs
- 4 ounces grated cheese
- 1 ounce butter
- 1 small onion
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon mixed herbs
Method
- 1 Boil semolina in water for 20 minutes, stirring frequently. Let cool.
- 2 Grate cheese, mince onion. Mix with semolina, egg yolks, salt, pepper, and herbs.
- 3 Beat egg whites to stiff peaks. Fold into semolina mixture gently.
- 4 Pour into a pie dish with melted butter. Bake at 350°F for 45 minutes.
