Baked Salmon With Cream Sauce
Ingredients
- 1 can salmon (or 1 lb fresh fish, cooked and deboned)
- 1 quart milk
- 1 cup flour
- 1 cup butter
- 3 eggs
- 1 cup bread crumbs
- ½ cup grated cheese
- 1 onion
- 1 bunch parsley
- 2 bay leaves
- Salt to taste
- Cayenne pepper to taste
Method
- 1 Preheat oven to 350°F.
- 2 Boil milk with onion, parsley, and bay leaves; strain.
- 3 Whisk flour into cold milk, then add butter and eggs to the warm milk.
- 4 Layer fish and sauce in a baking dish, ending with sauce on top.
- 5 Top with bread crumbs and cheese.
- 6 Bake for 20 minutes until golden.
