Baked Rice And Date Pudding

Ingredients

  • ½ cup rice, washed and boiled
  • 1 lb dates, washed, stoned, and chopped
  • 1 pint milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • Salt to taste

Method

  1. 1 Butter a pudding dish well.
  2. 2 Layer half the dates, then half the rice, then remaining dates, and top with remaining rice.
  3. 3 Beat eggs lightly, then mix in milk, sugar, and salt.
  4. 4 Pour the egg mixture over the rice and fruit layers.
  5. 5 Bake for 25 to 30 minutes.
  6. 6 Serve cold with cream.
