Baked Rice And Date Pudding
Ingredients
- ½ cup rice, washed and boiled
- 1 lb dates, washed, stoned, and chopped
- 1 pint milk
- 2 eggs
- 2 tbsp granulated sugar
- Salt to taste
Method
- 1 Butter a pudding dish well.
- 2 Layer half the dates, then half the rice, then remaining dates, and top with remaining rice.
- 3 Beat eggs lightly, then mix in milk, sugar, and salt.
- 4 Pour the egg mixture over the rice and fruit layers.
- 5 Bake for 25 to 30 minutes.
- 6 Serve cold with cream.
